Chapter 4 in Gloria Cubana’s Series

Chapter 4

General Cigar’s La Gloria Cubana previously released Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 competing cigars. At the 2014 IPCPR La Gloria placed Chapters 3 and 4 into their own competition – Chapter 3 is made in the Dominican Republic and Chapter 4 in the Honduras – and we were provided with a sample of Chapter 4 to review. We previously reviewed Chapter 3

Chapter 4 is an 8 X 52 dark Churchill size cigar with a filler blend of Honduran, Mexican and Columbian tobaccos, bound by an Indonesian binder and a Honduran wrapper. The cigar did not have any soft or hard spots and sported an average smoke volume. The draw was much better than Chapter 3 than and the cigar had a very even burn, indicating a better construction than Chapter 3. The flavors started mild and remained mild throughout. The dominant flavor was cedar with coffee and cream in the background. The ash was good and it took an hour and 20 minutes to smoke this medium to full bodied cigar.

The SRP is $9.50 and we consider this fair for this cigar. We liked this cigar much more than Chapter 3 and rate Chapter 4 a 3.5 out of 5.
